Dr. Karen Jaggers, LPC
PsyD Clinical Psychology
Dr. Jaggers holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Services, a Masters in Mental Health Counseling, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD). She is a National Board Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor. Dr. Jaggers is a member of the American Counseling Association, American Psychological Association and the American Mental Health Counselors Association. Dr. Jaggers is an adjunct professor for the Masters and Doctorate Programs at Pepperdine University. She is a Certified Grief Specialist, Professional Family Mediator, Certified Parenting Coordinator, and Certified Professional Life Coach.

Dr. Jaggers is the founder and past president of Katy Autism Support, a past member of the Katy ISD Special Education Advisory Committee, and a past Board of Director for Easter Seals of Houston, Houston Area Respite Centers, Lighthouse of Houston, and Family to Family Network. Dr. Jaggers currently serves on the Executive Board of Directors for the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce, on the Medical Advisory Board for The Joe Joe Bear Foundation, and on the Advisory Committee for the Crime Stoppers NEEDS Program. Dr. Jaggers is a Sustaining Member of the Junior League of Houston and a Lifetime Member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
Dr. Jaggers is well known in the Houston area as a behavior and educational consultant, speaker, and group leader specializing in family dynamics, behavioral challenges, and challenges related to families with disabilities. She has been the featured speaker at both the National Autism Association conference and the World Autism Organization conference and has been voted Best Counselor in Katy five times.

Dr. Karen Jaggers recently retired as a partner at Stokan Jaggers & Associates of eleven years and has returned to her individual private practice of The Jaggers Group in an effort to practice what she preaches to her own clients about maintaining a positive work/life balance. Dr. Jaggers and Dr. Stokan continue to be great friends and will continue to collaborate on patient care.

Dr. Jaggers has dedicated the past twenty years of her life to helping families and individuals in various capacities. Dr. Jaggers is well known in the Houston area as a Licensed Professional Counselor, behavior and educational consultant and public speaker specializing in challenges related to individual and family issues as well as autism spectrum disorders. She is nationally recognized National Board Certified Counselor, and Certified Autism Specialist (CAS) and author.

Dr. Jaggers provides individual, couples, and family counseling services. She is a member of numerous professional organizations. Dr. Jaggers worked for many years as an independent behavior consultant and special needs advocate in Houston. During this time, she supervised programs for Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior therapies. She also worked as a behavior consultant for home and school environments.

Publications
As a Certified Grief Specialist Dr. Jaggers has published a therapeutic children's grief workbook, My Heart Hurts, that provides an opportunity for children to process their grief experiences for family members, friends, or pets. She is also the author of a children's workbook, "Lets Talk About Corona the Virus", which assists children in addressing their fears and concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic.

SIBLING SUPPORT - Dr. Jaggers conducted extensive research with adult siblings of individuals with high functioning autism. This research provided great insights to presenting the sibling perspective. You will learn first hand what the adult siblings need for parents to know.
ADULT GRIEF WORKBOOK - Due to popular demand, Dr. Jaggers will be publishing an adult version of My Heart Hearts to assist adults in therapeutically processing their grief.
